iPad Mini Sales of Apple s ( AAPL ) iPad mini tablet are expected to handily top other devices in the 7- to 8-inch category during the holiday quarter, and it looks like demand for Apple s smaller slate will stay hot through the first quarter next year. Citing anonymous supply chain sources, Digitimes on Tuesday reports that Pegatron Technology , one of Apple s key manufacturing partners , expects to see continued strong sales performance through Q1 2013 based on strong iPad mini orders from Apple. The report notes that Pegatron s revenue grew 64% year-on-year in November thanks largely to its iPad mini contract, and Apple s suppliers are expected to ship between 8 and 10 million iPad mini tablets by the end of 2012.
