iTunes Unveils Top Music, Movies and TV Shows of 2012

iTunes just revealed the year's top-selling albums, songs, movies, TV shows and episodes .

Here's a look at what caught your attention most in 2012:

Albums Adele's 21 , which came out in early 2011 (yes, 2011 ), experienced a post-Grammys album sales boost and became the first artist on iTunes to go double platinum.

1. 21 from Adele 2. Red from Taylor Swift 3. Babel from Mumford & Sons 4. Up All Night from One Direction 5. Some Nights from Fun. Songs Viral hit "Call Me Maybe," which landed Carly Rae Jepsen a record deal and earned her a Song of the Year Grammy nomination , raked in the most downloads.

1. "Call Me Maybe" from Carly Rae Jepsen 2. "Somebody That I Used to Know" from Gotye 3. "We Are Young" from Fun. featuring Janelle Mon e 4. "Payphone" from Maroon 5 featuring Wiz Khalifa 5. "Starships" from Nicki Minaj Seasons TV drama Downton Abbey 's second season garnered heavy downloads (season three begins Jan. 6), beating out social TV heavyweight The Walking Dead .
